Highly recommended, this wonderful variety, is a combination of Golden Delicious and James Grieves. The fruit is a pleasant green shade and taking the best features from its parents has a sweet taste with a refreshing sharp edge to it that’s not too sour. It has the added bonus of producing attractive blossoms from April to May that brings butterflies and birds into the spring garden. A terrifically hardy and reliable variety that is easily manageable. Its partially self-fertile and is a great pollinator with other apple trees. It will grow up to 3m but can be pruned annually to keep at a more manageable height, or for a slightly less vigorous bush can be grown in a large container, perfect for the patio.
